The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between The School of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietthink Law Firm

In the series of events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of establishment of The School of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-SL), on November 15th 2016, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the School of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietthink Law Firm was taken place. The participants included Associate Professor PhD. Trinh Quoc Toan – Dean of the School of Law, PhD. Trinh Tien Viet - Deputy Dean of the School of Law; Associate Professor PhD. Dang Minh Tuan – Deputy Chairman of the School of Law, alumnus, staffs, lecturers, students of the School of Law; from Vietthink Law Firm, Lawyer. PhD. Le Dinh Vinh – Director, MA. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy Director and representatives from departments of the firm.
For 40 years, The School of Law has trained thousands of bachelors, masters, PhD of Law. VNU-LS is also a leader in the field of legal science research and academic exchange. Recently, the Prime Minister signed the document No.1806/TTg – KGVX to approve the extension of The School of Law into Law University under Vietnam National University. Hopefully, in the near future, the VNU-LS will become one of the universities reaching international standards with leading reputation in the legal area. The cooperation with Vietthink Law Firm will be one of the concrete steps to build training form merging theory and practice. This is the cooperation between legal training institutions and law practicing organization in order to increase quality of students.

The fields of the cooperation between Vietthink and the School of Law include: coordinating to organize the workshops, symposium about Law; cooperating to compile documents, materials; trainee lawyer participating in teaching thematic contents; admission of good students in order to improve law practicing skills; granting scholarships for students with outstanding achievements in academic and scientific research; cooperating in promoting the brands of either Parties, etc.

At the signing ceremony, PhD Trinh Quoc Toan – Dean of The Falcuty of Law – HNU stated that: “Faculty has always considered the raising cooperation is the effort so as to attract resources for development. With the signing of the Comprehensive Coorperation Agreement, we highly appreciate the potentiality, opportunities and contents of the cooperation with Vietthink Law Firm today and hope that the cooperation will bring huge benefits for both parties as well as for students”.At the signing ceremony, Associate Professor PhD Trinh Quoc Toan – Dean of VNU-LS stated that: “VNU-LS has always considered the raising cooperation is the effort so as to attract resources for development. With the signing of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, we highly appreciate the potentiality, opportunities and contents of the cooperation with Vietthink Law Firm today and hope that the cooperation will bring huge benefits for both parties as well as for students”.Also, at the ceremony, to acknowledge and commend the spirit of passion for study and scientific research of students, Vietthink Law Firm granted five scholarships named “Vietthink Scholarship 2016”, each worth 10 million VND for five students who had excellent achievements./.
