Vietthink discusses cooperation opportunity with The School of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi

On October 31st 2016, in Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Leaders of Vietthink Law Firm and The School of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU –LS) have a meeting to discuss about cooperation opportunity between two parties in the field of training and researching legal science. This is one of the main activities within the framework of 40th anniversary of establishment of The School of Law and preparing for setting up The Law University under Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

For 40 years of construction and development, VNU-LS has become a law training institution with rich tradition and leading reputation in Vietnam, contributed to the country thousands of good bachelors, masters and PhDs of Law. VNU-LS is also one of the cradles of  researching legal science with dozens of the first Professors and PhDs of Law. With the advantage is member of VNU, VNU-LS also has deep and wide relationships with law training institutions of International Association of Universities (IAU) and University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP). Recently, Prime Minister signed the document No.1806/TTg – KGVX to approve the extension of The School of Law into Law University under Vietnam National University, Hanoi based on The School of Law currently.

At the meeting, leaders of Vietthink Law Firm and VNU-LS discuss opportunity and cooperation contents between two parties in training and researching legal science base on potential and strengths of each party in order to develop. Cooperation contents are proposed by two parties include: Cooperate toresearch science through topic, workshops in local and oversea; Cooperate to compile document, materials and teach thematic contents for law student; exchange for students for internship and  improving law practicing skills; granting scholarship to excellent students of VNU-LS who has good achievement in studying and researching science; cooperating in promoting the brands of either Parties.

With the goal of becoming the leading Law University in South East Asia and Asia - Pacific, in recently years, The School of Law has always pushed up cooperation activities, exchange with domestic and international organizations in order to improve quality of training and researching science. Stating this view, Mr. Trinh Quoc Toan – Dean of VNU-LS said: “We always consider the cooperation and exchange is the key to create a breakthrough in attracting resources so as to build The School of Law become a law research center under international standard. Therefore, we highly appreciate the cooperation contents with Vietthink Law Firm in the future”

Official cooperation contents between two parties will be announced in The Signing Ceremony of cooperation between Vietthink Law Firm and VNU-LS before 40th Anniversary of establishment of VNU-LS in next November 19th. On this occasion, Vietthink Law Firm will also award a number of scholarships for students with outstanding achievements of VNU-LS.
